Pier 97 - New York

Pier 97 is officially open! On October 15th, Hudson River Park celebrated the grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony for this incredible space, designed by !melk.

SPEC has been working alongside award-winning urban design and landscape architecture firm, !melk, on the $47M Pier 97 Hudson River Park renovation. Pier 97 was constructed between 1921 and 1934 where it was used as a docking pier. Over the years this pier was restored by Hudson River Park Trust and became a place of entertainment. !melk’s design allows for Pier 97 to be a multi-use activity center that will include an extraordinary Berliner Seilfabrik Triitopia destination playground, dining areas, and carefully constructed routes offering a variety of views.

We're thrilled to have contributed to this project with our extraordinary Berliner Triitopia playground and spectacular peripheral play components to round out the Pier 97 park, offering a fun and engaging space for families to enjoy!
